Dear Friends,

Last month I wrote, “If you have the faith of a mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it shall move; and nothing shall be impossible to you.” Matt. 17:20.

At that time, we needed someone to install new paneling along one wall in the ministry building. We could not find anyone to do the work, so Jerry and I tackled the job. It was a much bigger job than we expected, with a lot of heavy lifting.

This month we are facing a much bigger mountain and I am grateful for the truth of Matthew 17:20 to keep me moving forward and trusting God.

When we started the radio ministry in 1999, we brought a 10’x40’ mobile unit onto our property to house the sound room and office. At that time, we applied for a permit with the county and we were told we did not need one.

We recently added solar panels at our home, which caused the county to inspect our property over the internet; noting that we did not have a permit for the ministry building. The county inspector said that it would take an estimated $10,000- $30,000 to bring the mobile unit up to code in order to issue a permit.

It should be no surprise that the enemy would attack the ministry, since our aim and purpose is to share the good news that Jesus Christ came to give His life on the cross for us, that we might spend eternity with Him. He paid the price for our sins and all that is required of us that we acknowledge our sin and invite Him into our lives and He comes in form of the Holy Spirit and indwells us. We have a new life.

Consider it all joy, my brethren when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance, and let endurance have its perfect result, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. James 1:2-4

. . . in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming missiles of the evil one. Ephesians 6:16

One of the ladies on the email prayer chain sent this scripture to me: “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is anything too difficult for Me?” Jeremiah 32:27

The Bible is such a wonderful book full of God’s promises.
“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.” John 14:27

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart exults, and with my song I shall thank Him. Psalm 28:7

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1

He gives strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might He increases power. Isaiah 40:1

A joyful heart is a good medicine, but a broken spirit dries up the bones. Proverbs 17:22
One of the Calaveras County Supervisors attends our church and is helping us to get this situation resolved. When I talked to the county permit department about their current requirements, I learned that we will need to upgrade the structural pillars that support the building in order for it to withstand 100-mile wind storm. I do not know what expenses we face at this time, but the county officials did sound more cooperative after the Supervisor talked with them.

I am assured that this is God’s ministry and He is more than capable of keeping it going. We do appreciate your prayers on behalf of A Woman’s Special Touch.
