Dear Friends, Mary (not her real name) is one of the most dedicated Christians I know.  She is a lady who makes a practice of “rejoicing always”.  She has had plenty of experiences that are not easy to rejoice in, but her firm belief in Christ and the belief that “all things work together for good,” has enabled her to comfort others by the comfort that has been given her. Mary found herself in a mess after being deceived by a scam.  A couple of men in a foreign country, hacked into her email.

Dear Friends, I love animals – wild animals- moose, bears (from a distance), deer (as long as they don’t eat my plants), and birds to name a few. I have many bird stories. A friend once told me that she thought God spoke to me through birds and I imagined one day being asked, “How does God speak to you?” to which I would reply, “Through birds.”- No doubt this prompt a response such as, “Uh-oh, this lady is nuts,” as they envisioned a bird flying down, staring me in the face, and moving over to my ear to say, “Here the word of the Lord .

Dear Friends, the following is a snippet from a novel based on a true story. Before Justin was two years old, their second son Jonathan was born; within a few months they moved from Crailsheim, Germany to Goppingen. Jonathan was very sick – he’d had pneumonia twice in his first year of life, and so many ear infections and bouts of tonsillitis that you couldn’t keep count. He was very frail. Colleen spent her time day and night walking the floor with a crying baby, up and down three flights of stairs to wash the clothes and back and forth to the doctors.

Dear Friends, The content of this newsletter comes from something I had written in 1981. As I discovered it in my files it spoke to me and I pray it will to you also. In Daniel 11:32 we learn that the people who know their God will display strength and take action. Yet when a problem or crisis arises, we often find ourselves sapped of strength and reduced to inactivity. Knowledge of God will have an amazing effect upon our lives and actions. The Bible tells us to “be careful for nothing.

Dear Friends, A few more Devotions on the Go, remember to listen to the guitar strums between stories. ~~~BIG HORN SHEEP~~~ There is nothing quite as thrilling to me as a rare sighting of wild animals. My husband and I were up Big Sheep Creek in Montana doing some fishing when we saw a large group of animals that looked slightly different than deer. Grabbing our binoculars we were delighted to discover 20 to 30 Big Horn Sheep. The sheep had been hunted out of that area and had just recently been reintroduced to the Big Sheep Creek area by management authorities.

Dear Friends, I am working on the third CD for the Devotions on the Go series. From the response I have received, the stories are blessing people and that blesses me. My original art work is featured on each CD cover - a landscape in blues and greens with a stream on the first CD, a blue heron on the second, and a landscape with purple mountains, green grass and yellow flowers on the third. ~~~# 1 of Set 1~~~THE DUCK WHO THOUGHT HE WAS A CHICKEN~~~ One summer when I was young, my family raised chickens. We also had one duckling. I believe we had won him at a carnival.

Dear Friends, at the suggestion of a friend, a CD series entitled “Devotions on the Go” has become my latest project. The first CD runs 43 minutes and features 15 short devotions for busy people who find it necessary to spend a lot of time in their cars, or who might find time to listen while working, exercising or resting. Each devotion is numbered and separated by a few strands of music played by a member of Fridge On Fire. You can easily pick up where you left off or go back and re-listen to one. I have selected three to share with you.

Dear Friends, And your ears will hear a word behind you, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left. Isaiah 30:21. Knowing the way of the Lord is not always easy. Learning to follow Jesus in our everyday life can be difficult because we are always faced with new circumstances. Life is never the same. One of the most important things I learned as a new Christian was that as a believer the Holy Spirit dwells in me and wants to guide me in every decision. It is important to pray about everything.

Dear Friends, We are living in a time in which the nations of the world are turmoil, and many people are devastated by personal problems. Between the news and the prayer requests that come into the ministry, one would think the world is coming to an end - and it may very well be. However I do not know when, so in the meantime I have some encouraging words from the Lord for you. As some of you know, I have been studying and painting “Trees of the Bible” in recent months.

Dear Friends, Blessings can come at the most unexpected times and in unexpected places. I experienced the joy of being a guarding angel! There was room at the “Inn,” on a recent trip to visit my mother. As we were walking down the hall towards the elevator, I heard a door open and close, then a beautiful little dark haired, dark eyed little rascal came running down the hall. We raised three rascals, so I know a rascal when I see one and they always win my heart. My guess was he was no more than two years old. When I saw he was alone I asked, “Where is Mommy?” He pointed down the hall in the direction we had come and I knew she was not down there. I asked him to take my hand, which he did
